Preparing for recovery

Birth preparation is not only about labour — it is also about setting you up for postpartum recovery. Understanding pelvic floor recovery, abdominal healing, bladder and bowel care, and safe return to exercise can help make the postpartum period feel less overwhelming.

My goal is to help you feel informed, supported, and confident as you move into birth and early motherhood.

When to book a birth preparation appointment.

Most women commence birth preparation during the third trimester, commonly between 30–36 weeks pregnancy. However, sessions can be beneficial earlier if you are experiencing pelvic pain, anxiety surrounding birth, or would simply like more guidance throughout pregnancy.

I provide collaborative, evidence-based and individualised care, in the comfort and safety of your home across Sydney’s Northern Beaches.
